ACCOUNTING Software

This version includes a new (beta) version of 'tacacct'. This requires that in addition to the xtacacs 4.1 distribution, you should also download your platform specific timerange.o module, rename it to timerange.o and then do a 'make tacacct'. These modules are available under "Downloads" from the same location as xtacacsd. Edit the tacacct-conf config file (self documented) and the program usage is similar to the 'taclast' program.
This software was experimental only, and has been deleted

In addition to xtacacs, you should also look at TACACS_PLUS as well as RADIUS which are alternate authentication protocols present in the newer Cisco software (IOS v11.0 etc.).. Click here to see a bulletin from Cisco on future xtacacsd support
